System Recovery Types

As you already know there are different kinds of System Recovery that you can perform. Three types of System Recovery are there that you can perform. You can perform any of these three whichever is suitable for your device.

1.System Recovery: By this, you can reformat your system drive, the original operating system can be installed and you can install all the original drivers and softwares of hardware again. If you have created any partition, this process will not impact that. This procedure will only modify the drive within which the OS is installed.

One thing you have to keep in mind is if you have reduced the operating system partition size below a minimum size requirement, this will destroy the stored data and remove the partitions that you created.

2.Factory Reset: This method will remove all the partitions and the original        operating system will be installed again. Also, this reformats the entire hard drive and install all the drivers and software again. This procedure also reformats the required Recovery partition and UEFI partition and installs the required software again.

This method also returns all the softwares of the notebook to the condition when these were new. Factory Reset removes all the changes and additions that you made.

3. Minimized Image Recovery: Many of HP’s notebook computers come with this facility. This process will remove all the partitions. Your entire hard drive will be reformatted and all essential HP software like HP Recovery Manager and HP Support Assistant will be reinstalled. This process will not, however, reinstall the games and applications that you installed for trial purposes.
